Happy Easter

Today has been a beautiful Easter Sunday. I am so thankful that I have a Saviour who died on a cross for me and for you! But, He rose from the grave three days later and He is still alive today.
I enjoyed spending time with my family today and talking about what Easter is all about with my kids.

Spring Break Day One...

I was awakened this morning to jumps and giggles above my head. No sleeping in for me! Braeden was upstairs entertaining Sophia in her crib. He will go in her room and act silly for her. I got up, brought them two down for breakfast and they played for a good while together. Let me tell you, Braeden was FULL of energy this morning. Around 9:15 I rocked Sophie to sleep and Braeden rested on the couch. They both went back to sleep. What did I get accomplished during this nap? Well, I could have done some laundry or something productive. But, I didn't! It was so quiet around the house. Everyone was asleep. So I took a nap too! And it was nice.
Our church did a little Easter egg hunt this afternoon at my mom and dad's house. The rain held off almost until the end of the hunt. The kids had a fun time.

Oh, I love the Bunny...NOT! We took Sophia to have an Easter picture with a live bunny. That didn't really turn out like I thought it would. She wanted nothing to do with the rabbit. It startled her at first and she was trying to get away. Then she started hitting it. We just kind of tried to sneak the bunny into the picture without her seeing it.
Well, the pictures turned out to be pretty good...

An Honor and A Responsibility...

Southampton Junior Honor Society. Madison received an application today to apply. I am so proud of her. Selection is based on five criteria...
Scholarship, Leadership, Character, Citizenship, and Service. I may be biased but I think she rocks on all these!

14 Months Today!!

Sophie Girl is 14 months old today. Oh, how I love this baby girl. She is doing so many cute things these days. She does have one tooth now! Yay! Her vocabulary is awesome. She just talks away. We can understand about 13 or 14 words she can say. She isn't walking yet...but why does she need to walk when she has so many people to carry her around? She will stand for a few seconds and then plop to the floor laughing. She is still loving the swing and Cooper. We have to check those two things out everytime we get out of the van. Here are a few pictures I took of her today...

A Bright Sun Shiny Day!!

The weather today spoke for itself. Not much else I can say...Gorgeous Day! Days like today spoil me. It was busy around the Whitehurst house today. Kids were going in different directions, loads of laundry were done, picnics, fishing, visiting with friends, visiting Mamaw, Middle School Madness, bible study, whew...And I even squeezed in a little pampering.

Sooo Tired....

My baby girl was so tired this evening. She played for a good while when we got home. She didn't want to eat dinner at first, so we kept playing. When she finally got into her highchair she could hardly keep her eyes open! She actually had a puff in her hand just holding it to her mouth. (I missed that shot. That is when I ran to get my camera :-) Bless her heart! As Braeden would say.

Calling All Prayer Warriors!

You have probably noticed my buttons on the right "Praying for Jonah" and "Praying for Stellan." These are two precious babies whom I have never met, but that doesn't matter. They need our prayers.
I have several blogs that I consider 'daily reads.' Even though I don't know these people I enjoy reading their blogs. Some that I read are funny, some I can relate to because of the children factor and some are just inspirational and uplifting. (Okay, I admit it, I'm a blog stalker :-)
You can click on Stellan's picture and go straight to his mom's blog. Stellan was diagnosed with SVT before he was born. God healed him and he was born healthy. Within the past week he has got sick. My heart aches for this family. I can't imagine what they are going through.
His parents have great faith and are trusting God with their son. They know God has a plan for him. Stellan's story has touched thousands of lives. You should check out his name gallery. It is awesome. This is were people from all over the world have wrote his name in some special way or taken a picture of his name in some special spot. Stellan's little life has a purpose.
I am asking that you say a prayer for Stellan today and in the days to follow. God can heal his heart.

This scripture was given to us this week by a friend. Just this week God heard our family's prayers and we are REJOICING over the good news!
