If you remember, a couple of months ago I posted about Braeden’s new fish Scooter. Braeden was so excited. Well, last week poor Scooter jumped to his doom. Evidently he didn’t want to be contained any longer. And he just didn’t make it. So we had to break the news to Braeden. He accepted it. We told him we would get another one. So Dean wrapped the fish, put it in a Ziploc bag and saved it for a few days. Braeden wanted to bury it. (And then Braeden wanted to see it before we buried it…big mistake…the smell was awful!) I thought we were just going to flush it down the toilet or something. But OH NO….
Sunday afternoon we had a fish funeral. Yes, Dean put the fish in a little box and created a spot in the flowerbed to bury it! And Braeden got to pick out the flowers to plant beside it. I guess as parents we will do anything for our kids even if it does seem sort of silly!
So we told Braeden we would get a new fish. So Dad went out bought a new tank and about 15 fish (I'm guessing, there are so many I can't count.)
Scooter's legacy lives on!
