We bought Cooper about 7 years ago. He was a birthday gift for Madison. She has always been our animal lover. Actually the boys have pretty much followed in her footsteps.
Well, Madison has been asking for a really long time for an indoor dog. Something small, but inside. I have always said no. We had a cat once. A Himalayan. The cat hair was just too much. So we had to get rid of her. You know actually that was my second Himalayan. We had one before Madison was born, Libby. But we gave her away once Madison came along. Oh, sounds like a trend. But Cooper has been with us for a good while. He is so good with the kids, really anybody. Okay, back to the inside dog. I've always said no. You would get a kick out of all the things Madison has said and done to try to convince me. So recently I've been thinking that I just might have to become a dog person. For my kids. I know it will make them happy.
So we have been looking for a dog. Well kind of. We explained to the kids that Dad is not working. So we can't spend a lot of money on a dog. We are letting them take a little responsibilty in this. So we have created the Puppy Fund.
They were putting all kinds of bills in this jar! Little Braeden was so sweet. He had been saving money since his birthday. He was willing to donate to the fund! So we will see what happens in the future. We haven't found what we are looking for yet, but maybe one day!
