What a day!

Goodness what a day! I has rained something terrible today. I had already scheduled to be off today but school was cancelled! We had to take Braeden to have a little mucus seal taken off his lip today. And I was just a little nervous when the power went out while he was back there! I was thinking okay this isn't good. But they came out for us a few minutes later and he was already done. So we were led to him by flashlight! Bless his little heart.

We made a little stop to pick up Sophie's "Pink" shoes...

Then a quick drive-thru Chick-fil-a...and she was out before she even finished her nuggets

Braeden did great! So proud of him...Sweet little guy!

Looking for Sharks Teeth

Braeden brought home a bucket of 'stuff' back this summer when he went to the fossil museum. Today he and Gampa were sifting through it pulling out the sharks teeth.

Lamps from the past...

My Pa told me he had something else that I might want of my Ma's. When he showed me the lamps I was ecstatic! I have been trying to collect pieces of hobnail milk glass. I only have a few little pieces nothing big. He gave me two hobnail lamps! I'm not sure how old they are. I Love them! I brought them home put some bulbs in them and got two little lamp shades to fit. They go perfect in my dining room!
I love that I am putting little pieces of my Ma throughout my home. She will always be a part of my life.

Cherished Treasures...

I was so thrilled to bring home some items that used to be my Ma's. My Pa has been going through some of her things recently. These are some of the things I chose...
I love this little dish. I keep it on my nightstand.

Here are a few more dishes I got.

Everytime I see them they make me smile and think of her.

Decisions, decisions...

Our dining room is one of the last rooms that I have wanted to change around. I have never painted it. It is just plain white. And I like color! I have had all kinds of ideas but never can decide. And if you know me decisions don't come easy to me! Ha! So I have bought several paint samples trying to decide. If you came over you would see this on the walls....

Poor lonely squares of paint...

They have been painted and left. I'm not quite sure how long they all have been there. I haven't forgot about them, it's just... I can't decide! But I think it's time to pick one and get this room fixed up! What do you think...Which one do you like?

Yard Sale and Baseball

Our church had a yard sale that started bright and early this morning. Our profits are going towards our new building.
The kids selling baked goods and Ipod raffle tickets.

Sophia was finding lots of cute little shoes..she didn't care that they were too big!

We brought these two old chairs. One of them had been in our garage for like 10 years! Dean was demonstrating the recliner. He wanted someone to buy it!

All the boys were begging to take it home to put in their rooms!
Sorry guys...none of the parents were going for it.

Then this afternoon the boys had their first fall ballgame. Braeden was so excited to play. And then about 20 minutes before we left the yard sale he fell in a hole and hurt his hand! I think he kind of jammed his finger. So he just went to watch today. He will get to play next week!
