Art Show

This evening the Rawls Museum had an art show. Madison is in gifted art so she gets to go to Rawls once a month for the day. There are some really talented kids around here. They had some interesting things on display that they had done throughout the year.
Madison has always been 'artsy.' I think she definitely gets that from her dad! I wanted to scan some of her drawings and put up but her sketch book is at school being graded. I will have to do that another day.

Helping Out

We had some limbs cut down today. Connor took it upon himself to help out and put some of them into a pile. Little did I know that Braeden had already done a lot of it, according to their Dad!
So while I was out snapping these pictures of Connor, Sophie Girl tries to make it out of the house!

Pearly Whites

I was outside snapping some shots of Sophie today. When I was reviewing them I noticed I got her tooth! She has two teeth now on the bottom. And last night I discovered she has a top molar coming in!

Weekend Wrap

What a gorgeous weekend! (I think Spring skipped us. It felt like summertime this weekend.) I still haven't figured out where the time goes on the weekends. It seems like it just flies by, but they say time flies when your'e having fun. We have stayed busy this weekend. Our travels have taken us to Waverly to Chesapeake to Buckhorn Quarter Road. We have watched two baseball games, gone shopping, attended Peyton's birthday party, gone to church, and had a fish fry. Never a dull moment around here. I was just telling Sophie today in the van, "Sophie you are a baby on the go." She just goes with the flow. She's a sweetie.
Here are some highlights from our weekend...

Connor got to pitch for the very first time today! He was pretty excited.

First steps...

Well, these aren't actually her very first steps. Sophia has been taking a few steps here and there for a few weeks now. At first she was just standing on her own, falling down and laughing. Then came the little baby steps. I love watching her. She tries so hard to balance but just can't get it yet. But, hey that is fine by me! Her day will come. I sure don't want to rush her into walking. She's my baby (sniff, sniff). A friend of ours said Sophie is a lap baby. I totally agree. She loves for somebody to hold her. So I guess she is just content with crawling and being carried around. I've been trying to catch some of her steps on video. This is the best I can get so far. Check her out...

What A Surprise

This is what my boys saw as we were coming home today.

Gampa was waiting to take them fishing! They were so excited they jumped out as soon as the van stopped. Braeden was actually almost asleep but he popped right up. They will jump on a chance to go fishing in a heartbeat. You know little Braeden was so cute. He asked if he could go because he had homework to do. I told him I thought it would be fine if we did his homework later tonight.
I bet Gampa had his hands full with five boys!

SMS...Take Two

I did this for the first time three years ago. Tonight I did it again with Connor Boy- Middle School Registration that is. Yes, I've heard it before but he wanted to go check it out. So we went. This is going to be a totally new experience for him. I think he's excited and looking forward to it!

Goodbye Spring Break 2009...

Today closes the door on Spring Break. (I say with a sigh) We have had a blast around here, we stayed very busy. And today wasn't any different with
church, a ball game, and playing outside. The kids enjoyed their time off right up until bedtime tonight.

Braeden wanted to help give Sophie a bath tonight. Such a great little helper!

We had delicious steaks on the grill tonight courtesy of Chef Dean.

I think we only have like thirty some days left until Summer Vacation!!!
