My New Project...Project 365

Okay, I am trying something new! For a little over a month I have been posting pictures on my picture a day blog! I was inspired by another blog I saw this on. I thought it would be really neat to do this and document our family for a year through pictures. Because you all know I love taking pictures, right? Now, even if I don't blog everyday I can at least post a picture. And I will go ahead and tell you there are some days where I have to post more than just one because I just can't decide on one! There has already been a day or two where I lost track of time or was out of town and had to go back and add the picture with the correct date. I am going to try to do my best to update everyday if at all possible. So go ahead on over to "365 Days of the Whitehurst's" and see what I've done so far and remember to check back each day for a new picture!

Fishing with Gampa

Braeden was up bright and early at 5:30 this morning getting ready to go fishing. He spent the night with Gampa last night. He was so excited. He's been begging Gampa to go for the past week or so. He got his chance today!

I'm Learning!

Last night at the baseball game we took tons of pictures! Really, we did. Like over 200! I got some cute shots of Sophie in the swing and I got the BLURRED background...

I just love pictures like this. I've been trying to figure it out on my new camera. I thought this one turned out great!

Here are a few others from the night...

Connor worked up an appetite at the game!

We tried to get some good action shots!

It's here!

My tile has arrived! I saw these and just had to order one. It has one of my favorite verses on it. I can't wait to find the perfect spot for it!

5th Grade Olympics...

Connor got to participate in the fifth grade Olympics today at the high school. He was in the sack race and won a silver medal! Since I was at work, I asked Dean to go and take some pictures for me. He got lots of 'action' shots. I thought I would share a few...
Congrats Connor Boy!

It was just 28 hours...

but we had a great time! We have been pretty busy around here with everyday life. I was glad to have some time all to myself with Dean this past weekend. We are so thankful we get to do this every once in a while! After church Sunday we went to VA Beach. I wasn't quite for sure where we were going or what our plans were. Dean kind of took care of that part and surprised me. When we got here

this is what was waiting for me in our room...

Aren't they beautiful? And they smell so good!

Dean always has some sort of trick up his sleeve! We had a wonderful dinner Sunday evening at

My special delivered breakfast Monday morning...fresh chocolate milk and a cinnamon bun!

We visited some other spots, including the beach. But it was way too crowded for us to stay.

I love our kids so much, but you know sometimes it's nice just to be alone with no distractions. I did miss them though!
I want to give a shout out to Mamaw & Gampa for making this little getaway possible! You guys are the greatest!
And Dean, I vote for more of these dates!

Memorial Day Fun

Sophie was getting ice cream from everybody!

Check out that top lip...that stuff was good!

Braeden enjoying some of Mamaw's home made peach ice cream! Notice his four leaf clover in his hand.

Madison still practicing tennis! Notice the cell phone in her hand...can't leave that behind!

The boys acting silly...I think they were playing Mother May I??

Bless his heart...

You know I have posted pictures of my little Braeden asleep in various places....well I have another one for you.

He played so hard today...all day. He was worn out. He came back from swimming at his friends and was playing in the yard. When I last checked on him he was swinging. Then when I went to get him for dinner this is how I found him! He had made a little spot and went right to sleep in the sandbox. I don't know how long he had been there. This little dude doesn't mess around when he is tired.

Must have been some good sleep! Can't you see the drool? Poor baby...

Here he is trying to wake up. He had sand stuck everywhere!
I love him!
