Halloween Weekend

We have had a busy weekend! We have had parties, baseball games, trick-or-treating, and Martha Day. It has all been good! Now three out of the three kids are in the bed having sweet dreams as mommy finishes up lesson plans and tries to relax a little before the work week starts!

Braeden got on purple Friday at school! For those that don't know...Purple is above green! He was so excited! He has been trying for this since the first day of school!

I slipped away from my class to snap a few shots of Braeden at his Fall party.

He got to attend another birthday/Halloween party Friday night for one of his friends.

On Saturday, Connor played his last baseball game until the spring.

Dean loves carving pumpkins every year with the kids. So we had a little bit of a mess but the end results were awesome!

This was really Sophia's first time trick-or-treating. She was just a baby last year.

Well this year she was so cute. She did good Halloween night. I had to bribe her a little with some M&M's to get her costume on. We tried it on her last weekend and she didn't want to have anything to do with it. I mean terrible tantrum! So I had to be very careful and plan my strategy! It worked! She was so proud of herself. She was showing everyone how pretty she looked. My dad helped out again this year. I think he loves trick-or-treating! It probably brings back memories of doing that with us! My mom stayed at the house and cooked some chili for the hot dogs we were going to cook later that night. All of our kids kind of split up this year. Braeden wanted to go around with his friend Justin. Connor went with Cameron and Caleb for a while. Then he decided he wanted to give out candy. Madison gave out candy and then walked around with her friends.

My parents, my sisters and their families and our friends the Smiley's came over after the kids got too much candy. We had a great time roasting hot dogs and making smores! The kids loved being outside in the dark playing. They had a blast!

Today our church had a Martha Day. We gave back to the community! Some people stayed and did yard work at the school...in the rain! God Bless them! And some of us went to East Pavilion. The kids sang, danced and Madison and Brittney did a puppet show. I took Sophia too. She was trying to steal the show with her dancing moves. She was something. It was such a blessing to go there. The residents really seemed to enjoy our visit.

What a weekend! We created lots of memories!
