Well, the time has arrived. It is a Sunday night and I have to go to work tomorrow! Yes, it is back to school time for Mommy. At least the kids have a few more days they can hold on to! Oh, how I am going to miss summer. I haven't really been counting down the days with excitement. Don't get me wrong. I love my job. Who wouldn't? I mean I get to work ten months out of the year and get paid for twelve. And I get to be at home when my kids are home. It's great. And of course it's awesome to play such an important role in the lives of the kids that I come in contact with. I think it's the transitions and changes that are going to be the hardest on me. You know like... spending days in my PJ's, not wearing any make-up, doing nothing to my hair, being with my kids all day {Oh, I am REALLY going to miss this one!}, going on day trips, not having to follow a schedule, blogging til the wee hours of the morning and then sleeping in. Now that's going to take some adjusting to. But I'm sure after a few weeks I will be back into the swing of things! Wish me luck!
Braeden enjoyed swimming today at a back-to-school party!

Water Baptism
Today was a very special day for Braeden. Our church had a baptism/cookout and he wanted to participate. I felt very proud that he wanted to do this at such a young age. He is such a sweet boy and I feel so blessed that he wanted to show his love for his God! I know God has Great Plans for his life!
Focus
I am forever hearing something on the radio and writing it down. It's usually some words of wisdom or some story that is making a really good point. I'm always searching for something to write on fast. Just the other night I had picked up a pizza for dinner so the pizza box was right there. So I was listening and scribbling on the box! I think I am going to get me a pad of paper to keep right by my seat. Anyway, this man was talking about cameras and taking pictures. You know I love taking some pictures so it caught my attention. The story went a little something like this...
People can take all the pictures they want, but you have to do certain things to get a good picture. You know that little hole you look through, well you have to make sure your subject is FOCUSED in it. If it's not then your picture is going to be blurred. It doesn't matter how good your camera is the picture will not turn out the greatest. It's all in how you focus the picture. When you get it focused the camera will take care of the rest. This is kind of like our lives. We need to stop listening to people first. When we do this everything gets blurred. We need to listen to God. We (I) need to keep my eyes focused on the cross. We need to FOCUS on him. He should be the center of our life. And just like the camera, He will take care of the rest!
I used my camera and focused in on this sweet little girl this morning!

Check-up Time
Sophia went for her 18 month check up today. She is doing just fine. I feel very blessed to have a healthy little girl. She did a little fussing in there today. She didn't want mommy to undress her or put her down. And it was time for two vaccinations today. We worked through it though! She weighs 22lbs 8oz. The doctor said I might want to get her down to one bottle a day. She usually drinks one in the morning and one before bed. So wonder which one she would like to have more? Um, probably the bedtime one! I'm not rushing, I'll get to it soon! She's my baby!
She loves playing at this table..."Mommy play" she kept saying. So mommy had to go sit and play!
Here is Sophie trying to lick the table for some reason...Of course I quickly said "No Sophie! It's yucky!" And she kept saying "Ucky" as she made this cute little face.
